1. Submission qualification
The first or co-authors must be a member of the Japan Society of Child & Bearing Rearing
Support. This does not apply to commissioned manuscripts.
2. Copyright
The copyright of papers published in this Journal belongs to the Academy. However,
authors may use works whose copyrights belong to the Society themselves. Authors are
not permitted to publish the same contents in other publications without the prior
permission of the Academy. Do not submit manuscripts to this Journal with the same
content as those submitted to or published by other publications. The content of the paper
should contribute to prenatal and postnatal care and child-rearing support.
3. Acceptance of articles
Acceptance or rejection of manuscripts is decided by the Editorial Board after multiple
peer review. However, acceptance of the manuscript may be conditional upon revising the
manuscript or changing the type of manuscript.
4. Types of articles
This journal publishes original articles, review articles, and reports related to prenatal and
postnatal care and child-rearing support. Other articles requested or accepted by the
Editorial Board.
1) Original articles should be research papers that logically present original new findings
from surveys, practices, and theoretical studies.
2) Review articles should be summaries and commentaries of research and survey
articles.
3) Reports should be reports of practical activities.
5. Procedure for writing manuscripts
1) The manuscript file should be A4 size, 40 lines per page (approximately 450 words), with appropriate line spacing. The font should be 11-point Times New Roman.
The abstract and text should be prepared in Word, and figures and tables in Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint.
2) In principle, the total number of pages of text, including references, figures, tables, and
photographs, should not exceed 12 pages (equivalent to 5,000 words).
3) Each figure and table should be within the word limit of 500 words per manuscript
page. Figures and photographs should be clear enough to be printed as is. Tables
should not be pasted as figures. Figures, and tables should be numbered in order.
Each figure, and table should be on a single A4 sheet, separate from the text.
The desired position of each should be written in red on the outside of the text.
4) Composition of Manuscripts for submission
The structure of a manuscript for submission should be as follows.
(1) Cover page: Include the title, authors name, affiliation(s), desired manuscript type,
and contact e-mail address of the first author.
(2) Abstract: (maximum of 300500 words), with the number of words in parentheses at
the end of the abstract. Key words should be listed in parentheses at the end of the
abstract.
(3) The main text: Original articles, Review articles and Reports should consist of an
Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.

(1) Use the Vancouver method.
The references should be numbered sequentially in the order of 1), 2), …, …, at the
right shoulder of the relevant section in the text, and listed in the reference list innumerical order.
(2) List of reference
1 For journals
Author(s): Title. Journal title, volume (number), pages cited, year of publication (A.D.).
2 In the case of a book
Author: Title. Editor or editor, book title, edition number: pages cited, publisher's name,
year of publication (A.D.).
3 Online journal
Author:Title. Journal name, volume (issue), pages cited, year of publication (A.D.),
DOI.
4 Web site
Institution name: Title. Year of publication, URL, date of access.
If there are four or more authors, please write the first 3 authors and "et al.”
6. Ethical considerations
Authors must state that ethical consideration has been taken for research involving either
human or animal subjects. The approval number issued by the local ethics committee
should be stated in the manuscript.
7. COI conflict of interest
Indicate at the end of the text whether there is a COI.
8. Method of Submission and Submission Address
Send electronic media (with your name and title of the paper) to the following address

9. Author proofreading
The proof should be checked once, and approval to publish the article. Changes other
than the essential correction of errors are unacceptable at the author proof stage.
10. Costs borne by authors
The publication fee for a paper shall be 7,000 yen, and the paper will be published upon
confirmation of payment of the publication fee.
